The techniques taught at the Mornington Wing Chun academy are simple and effective. Our co-ed classes give women the opportunity to learn how to defend themselves against larger and stronger opponents granting them more confidence and peace of mind. Wing chun manipulates body mechanics to disrupt an opponent's balance which is practical in real life where you are likely to be faced with a bigger and stronger adversary. This is where wing chun surpasses all other martial art styles because it relies on deflection, positioning, and strategy to disable larger opponents and it's also a system that's easy on the joints and body as a result

With the stressful, hectic pace of life these days training wing chun is a great way to keep you focused, relieve stress, maintain a healthy body, and have peace of mind that you can protect yourself and your family. Our Mornington Wing Chun academy is one of the few places in Australia where you can be trained by a female instructor, Sifu Mandy Sayah. When she disables a larger and stronger male opponent it proves that wing chun works and it doesn't require size and strength! Our academies not only have women in mind but the style itself is the only one in the world to be developed by a woman! We are fortunate to have a great group of people training martial arts at the Wing Chun Mornington academy; they are respectful, helpful, and polite. Sifu Mandy provides private classes for women as well as the Mornington Peninsula women's self-defence course which is taught in a series of private classes. Some of the benefits of training Wing Chun are self-defence, fitness, stress relief, confidence, heightened awareness, and increased speed and power. Practicing Wing Chun empowers women!
